Yale Center for Medical Informatics

The National Library of Medicine (NIH) sponsors postdoctoral training at the Yale Center for Medical Informatics (YCMI). This program focuses on the creative use of computers in support of clinical medicine, biomedical research, and medical education. This Program is based in the Department of Anesthesiology and is directed by Dr. Perry Miller. Fellows in Medical Informatics engage in a variety of research projects and attend courses, discussion groups, and seminars. Fellows may also help teach seminars and participate in various academic computing activities within the medical center. The goal of the YCMI fellowship is to provide fellows with a range of experiences that will prepare them for a career including medical informatics. The YCMI teaching seminar meets weekly; each session focuses on a particular topic, with papers distributed in advance.
