Research

My future research interests will centre on pediatric sleep medicine. I am specifically interested in looking at the metabolic correlates of pediatric sleep disordered breathing. Ideally, I would like to follow prospectively a pediatric population from early adolescence onward out to adulthood with the goal of investigating whether children with metabolic and physiologic markers of metabolic syndrome and sleep disordered breathing go on to become adults with severe metabolic syndrome or other cardio-vascular diseases
