Research
The main objective of our studies is to further understand the function and regulation of the genes involved in tissue homeostasis and tumor suppression. We have developed an in vitro system using ovarian cancer cells to test new drugs for the treatment of ovarian cancer. We have characterized a new compound which has proven to be highly effective inducing apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells and it is now tested in a phase II clinical trial.
